What did I say?

Shirts are reduced at this time of year anyway.

These cunts don't do something for nothing, you know, not when it comes to West Ham fans.

11.66 that they will no doubt recoup in the extra shirts sold.

I think I'd prefer they didn't.

Well it's £11.66 they never had to offer.

Re: Payet Shirt refund
The home shirt is now going for £36.66 in the club shop. You are saving a whole £11.66 on this 'offer'.

Re: Payet Shirt refund
i think the club are probably taking back the original shirts to prevent someone walking in and getting s new one, then handing the Payet one round all their mates in order for loads of people to get the price on a new shirt when they never owned a Payet one.

El Scorchio 1:57 Tue Jan 31
Re: Payet Shirt refund
You're only paying more if you CHOOSE to replace your shirt. No-ones forcing you to replace it. I think if you felt strongly enough you'd get a new shirt regardless of whether it cost 25 quid or 40 quid.

If the club weren't doing this discount it would just cost more to replace the shirt IF you wanted to.

DANNY66 1:53 Tue Jan 31
Re: Payet Shirt refund
As Penners said yesterday you are in affect paying 80 quid for one shirt.
If they said you can keep Payet shirt and you can have a replacement for 25 quid fair enough

Re: Payet Shirt refund
Well that's less of a gesture then as it will be at least £35 to have renamed and numbered.

Slide the gauge a bit more towards the marketing ploy.

Penners is all over this as I've heard he grew out of his over Christmas.

Re: Payet Shirt refund
If the shirts are already discounted by that much it looks more like an exercise in selling more shirts mid season. They never miss an opportunity of squeezing more money out of the loyal support.

Re: Payet Shirt refund
It's not the clubs fault that Payet wanted to leave, and if they had not made this gesture I think most would have just accepted it as it was.

Re: Payet Shirt refund
Northern- I heard that yesterday, it was Durham at his best but he wasn't getting many to bite.

Surely West Ham fans, coming from the East End and having a big sense of family, should have more respect for someone who is putting his family first and wants to go home for family reasons. So much so that he is taking a pay cut to go home.

I suppose it depends on whether said family problems arose as a result of him playing one too many away games.

Re: Payet Shirt refund
Interesting discussion on TS about this yesterday... reckon it's just a massive PR exercise in making Payet look even more of a cunt in the clubs eyes... I think they are right... other players ... better than Payet have left clubs and no others have gone public about getting their names removed from shirts... all just very petty and bitchy from the club...

Re: Payet Shirt refund
Mashed - you are correct.

Penners - I'll rake your word for it although that is not how I read it.

Has anyone taken advantage of this offer and can confirm?

penners28 11:31 Tue Jan 31
Re: Payet Shirt refund
Ornchurch, you have to pay more on top of the £25 if you want a different name and number.

All this is is the club buying the payet shirts off people for £11
